• Mission Statement.
• The mission of the Retail Working Group is to
  solicit input from the retail industry to
  determine the basic needs, direction and
  priorities of the industry and to promote the
  development of cost-effective, timely,
  commercially available and interoperable software
  components to meet these requirements.

• What is retail?
• Retail is a process of distributing product and
  services to the consumer market. The retailer
  creates product and service assortment to
  anticipate and fulfill the consumers needs and
  wants from an individual to family level. The
  retailer provides the ready exchange of value for
  the product or service.

• Membership pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies,
  processors, such as HMO's PPOs and software
  vendors
• Telecommunication standard is expected to be
  selected by Secretary Donna Shalala of the
  Department of Health and Human Services in March
  2000 as the standard for pharmacy.
• Formal liaison relationship with OMG

  on OMG to solicit retailers,

  team and start the requirements for the
