year 1950 at Caineville House, Mussoorie.
Previously, it was known as Shishu Niketan.In
the year 1960, the students of the senior wing
were transferred to the present building and the
junior wing in the year 1965. It is the oldest
boarding school in the Dehradun which is
affiliated to ICSE. It provides both day school
and residential facility. It has branches in
Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad.

- Welham Boys School was established in the year
1937. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi.
The school covers an area of 30 acres which is
situated in the hills and rivers of the Doon
Valley. The school was started in a rented
building which was known as Welham Preparatory
School by Ms. Oliphant. She called it as White
House. The first boy joined the school on 15th
January 1937. Further, the school extended to 30
boarders and 20-day scholars in the year 1938.
With the time, in the year 1941, the school
started giving admission till class V.

- The Vivekananda School was established in the
year 1976 which got affiliated to C.B.S.E. in the
year 1990 and got the status as Senior Secondary
School in the year 1996. Finally, in the year
1999, they got the final status as Senior
Secondary School by the Central Board. It is
considered as a bilingual experimental
institution by the Indian School Society.They
believe in teaching through unique methods which
are different from rest of them. The objective of
the school is to educate the students through
kindergartens, primary school. They also adopt
different techniques and practices that catches
the attention of the other schools also.The
school was first started with the strength of 13
students in a room which was situated behind the
village temple. The school was shifted to the
present area with the three classrooms. The
school has progressed a lot as in the year 1984
it has been recognized as the primary school and
in the year 1986, it got the recognition as the
Junior High School. The school seems to be
growing as every year as more and more students
are taking admissions and more teachers are
appointed. In the year 1992-1993, the school gave
their first 10th board exam and attained a very
good result. Constant efforts of both teachers
and students have made the name of the
school.The Vivekananda School provides the
