RFID Reporting Overview

• The EPC/RFID reporting application is designed to
  provide vendor partners with valuable EPC read
  reporting during the pilot.
• This is the first step toward enabling a future
  state data sharing model.

• Open www.extendingthereach.com in your browser.
• In the left navigation panel, click on Welcome
  under the United States area.
• In the left navigation panel, click on Department
  Information under the United States area.
• In the main page panel, click on EPC/RFID
  Reporting Application and Training link under the
  Supply Chain EPC RFID area.

Login

• User ID and Password are the same as Best Buys
  Vendor Performance Management (VPM) Application.
• User IDs and Passwords for RFID reporting will be
  administered using the current VPM process.
• Please contact your VPM Security administrator
  for User ID and Password.
• A security administrator has been assigned to
  each vendor to coordinate set-up and maintenance
  of applicable users within each organization.
• Designated users will be supplied a login ID and
  password by their security administrator.
• TWO user ids and passwords will be designated
  security administrators per vendor number.

Report Information and Help
Click on the Report link to learn more about each
report, including definition, required fields and
report output.
Click on the HELP link for help, system
navigation, and report features information.

Reporting Scenario 1 EPC Track and Trace

• Report Use
• You have the specific EPCs you would like to
  research and want to determine if they have been
  read by Best Buy without having to specify time,
  location, or PO/ASN information. Report will
  display all points where the EPC has been read.

Reporting Scenario 2 Product Movement

• Report Use
• You want to research product movement from Best
  Buys Distribution Center to pilot Store(s)
  within a specific date range. You can use
  product movement information to analyze product
  lead time in Best Buys distribution network.
  You can use ASN, PO, and Model Number to further
  narrow results.

Reporting Scenario 3 Read Accuracy at Locations

• Report Use
• You want to research your read rate performance
  for your products at Best Buys RFID pilot
  locations. You can use read-rate information to
  understand how your tag selection, placement, and
  other physical, process, or technical aspects of
  your EPC labeling can be optimized to maximize
  the performance across all read points.
• You must be sending EPCs in the Advance Ship
  Notice (ASN-856) for the report to calculate read
  rate performance.

Reporting Scenario 4 Location Specific Reads

• Report Use
• You want to research EPC activity at one or all
  RFID pilot locations during a specific time
  period. The report will provide a list of EPCs
  for the selected location(s). Results can be
  refined by selecting ASN, PO or Model Number.

Reporting Scenario 5 Receipt Tracking

• Report Use
• You want to research which EPCs have been read by
  Best Buy for a specific PO or ASN.
• This report includes only EPCs of actual reads at
  any read point within the Best Buy distribution
  network. It does not include unread EPCs of the
  selected ASN or PO Number.
• All case EPCs in this report are linked to the
  EPC Track Trace report. The link passes the
  case EPC as input to the EPC Track and Trace
  report and displays that report's output columns.
