percent less than conventional ACs. In this

is gearing towards providing relief by providing
cheap ACs with less power consumption. As per
media reports, the scheme is likely to start from
mid of July. - The government has previously sold cheap and
power saving LED bulbs under the flagship
of Ujala Scheme. They Modi government is taking
continuous efforts to reduce power consumption.
2UPTO 30 PERCENT CHEAP ACs
- As per reports, the government will provide 15 to
30 percent concession. The most important thing
is that it will consume 30 to 45 percent less
electricity. These ACs will be better than 5-star
ACs that are available in the market. As per PM,
the government electrified all India villages in
2016 but they do not receive power supply. If we
save power, it will light up their life. - The default temperatures of these ACs will be 24
to 26 degree Celsius and could be lowered up to
16 degrees. Default temperature will save more
energy.
3ROLE OF EESL
- Government based company Energy Efficiency
Services Limited (EESL) will launch these ACs.
EESL has provided this information on their
website. Bulk purchase will lower further lower
prices. It will have 1-year guarantee and its
compressor will have a guarantee period of 5
years. Furthermore, EESL will offer hassle free
services comprising complaint redressal support.
It also has attractive EMI options. - For the smooth conduct of this scheme, EESL has
partnered with BSES Rajdhani Power Limited
(BRPL). The partnership will help in distribution
of around 25000 air conditioners for South and
West Delhi customers. EESL aims to sell around
2,00,000 units of these air conditioners within a
span of two years. - BETTER COOLING AND MORE SAVINGS
- Energy Efficient ACs are fully made of copper
coil and have added anti-rust coating to last
long. These ACs will consume only 750 Kilo watt
per annum as compared to conventional ACs (1160
kilo-watt per year). - They also prevent emission of 1000 Kgs of CFC and
reduce greenhouse gases. It will save around 20
billion units of electricity and Rs 11,162 money
each year. Moreover, Consumers will get a chance
