Cepodem XP 325 Tablet Cepodem XP 325 Tablet is
prepared with the combination of Clavulanic Acid,
Cefpodoxime Proxetil, hence the effect of Cepodem
XP 325 Tablet is a combination of properties of
above composition. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is
prescribed for This drug is a cephalosporin
antibiotic. This is basically used for the
treatment of infections. These infections are
caused by susceptible strains of the designated
microorganisms. Clavulanic Acid is prescribed
for It treats certain bacterial infections of
ears, lungs, sinus, skin, some dental infections
that are resistant to other penicillins.

Cepodem XP 325 Tablet is highly used Typical
usage of Cefpodoxime Proxetil This drug is found
effective against many gram-positive and
gram-negative bacteria. Therefore this is used
for the treatment of the sinusitis, acute otitis
media, and pharyngitis. Typical usage of
Cefpodoxime Proxetil It treats certain bacterial
infections of ears, lungs, sinus, skin, some
dental infections that are resistant to other
penicillins.

Cepodem XP 325 Tablet Dosage
Below are the dosage information for Cepodem XP
325 Tablet - Dosage of Cefpodoxime Proxetil As
per the seriousness of the disease and the age of
the patient, the dose of the drug
varies. Adults Maximum The dose should not be
more than 400 mg per day. Pneumonia 200mg 
afterevery 12hrs for the period of 14 days. 
Bronchitis, sinusitis 200mg after every 12hrs
for the period of 10 days. Pharyngitis/tonsillit
is 100mg after every 12hrs for the period of 10
days.  Skin 400mg after every 12hrs for the
period of 14 days. Dosage of Cefpodoxime
Proxetil It has to be added in the ratio of 14.5
along with suitable and competent cephalosporins
antibiotics. Each 125-mg chewable tablet and
each 5 mL of reconstituted 125/5 mL oral
suspension of AUGMENTIN contains 0.16 mEq
potassium

(warmth or redness under your skin),nervousness,di

or on your lips,stiff or tight muscles,anxiety,spi
nning sensation,unusual or unpleasant taste in
your mouth,bloating,numbness or tingly
feeling,gas,diaper rash in kids, headache,stomach
pain,nausea, itching. Side effects of
Cefpodoxime Proxetil Hypersensitivity
reactions,  nausea,  vomiting,  eosinophilia,
 severe diarrhea,  hepatic cholestasis,  fever,
 maculopapular rash, urticaria, increase in serum
transaminase.

Use of Cepodem XP 325 Tablet During
Pregnancy Cepodem XP 325 Tablet may be unsafe
to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have
shown adverse effects on the fetus, however,
there are limited human studies. The benefits
from use in pregnant women may be acceptable
despite the risk. Please consult your
doctor. Pregnancy Safety Information of
Clavulanic Acid Category B Animal reproduction
studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the
fetus and there are no adequate and
well-controlled studies in pregnant
