What is 3d max ??

• It is basically a computer graphics program for
  creating 3d models, animations and digital
  images. This software can handle several stages
  of the animation pipelines including
  pre-visualization, layout, cameras, modeling,
  texturing, rigging, animation, lighting and
  rendering

• It is developed and produced by Autodesk Media
  and Entertainment. It initially released in 1996.
  
• It is available in English, German, French,
  Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
• The original 3D studio product was created for
  the DOS platform by Gary Yost and the yost group
  and published by the Autodesk
