What is Panchakarma
Panchakarma is one of the most well-known parts
about Ayurveda. It is a five-step, total
mind-body rejuvenation experience that comprises
of herbal oil massages, steam baths, cleansing
enemas, a healing kitchari diet and other
purifying practices.
3
Types Of Panchakarma
  • The five traditional therapies of Panchakarma are
  • 1. Basti - Herbalized oil enemas.
  • 2. Nasya - Nasal irrigation.
  • 3. Vamana - Therapeutic Vomiting.
  • 4. Virechana - Purgation.
  • 5. Raktamokshana - Blood Letting.

How Basti To Performed?
  • Basti karma simply means medicated enema. In this
process Medicated decoctions and oils are
administered in the body through anus with the
help of instrument specially made for Basti proces

Pakwashaya i.e. lower gastrointestinal tract. It
is the main site of Vata dosha.

Nasya
  • Nasya is a kind of Panchakarma treatment for body
cleansing a used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Vamana
  • Vamana Karma, also known as medical emesis or
medical vomiting, is one of the five Pradhana
Karmas of Panchakarma which is used in treating
Kaphaj disorders. Only a limited number of
high-quality clinical trials have been conducted
    to date

7
Virechana
  • Virechana is the purgative treatment that
cleanses the small intestine and associated Pitta
dominant organs for, example liver, gall bladder
and pancreas. It works in the downward direction
to eliminate Pitta related toxins and excess
Pitta in the form of acidic and inflammatory
    secretions

8
Raktamokshana
  • Raktamokshana (Bloodletting) is among the most
    important but poorly understood Panchakarma
treatments. Raktamokshana, or bloodletting, it is
an important part of the clinical therapeutic use
