The Turquoise stone was part of the jewelry of
Egyptians. The Pharaohs and other rulers of
Ancient Egypt wore this stone on their necklace,
bracelets, earrings rings, and special buttons on
clothes. The Chinese people carved it 3000 years

Nishapur district of Iran has been mined for more
than 1000 years. The Turquoise is defined in
trade names that are Robins egg blue, sky
blue, and Persian blue. These terms are used
to define the Turquoise color, not their
source. New Mexico was the major source until
the 1920s and now most of the Turquoise
Birthstones come from Arizona and Nevada. The
Kingman mine is an important source of intense
blue turquoise. The mines in America have a
reminiscent name like Dry creek, Easter blue,
Emerald Valley, and fox. Today, the largest
producer of the turquoise birthstone is
china. The stone was used in the funerary mask
of King Tutankhamun. In the United States, it is
worn by Native Americans. They said this stone
has a special power of healing and it brings
good fortune and health.
