• If you are considering selling an artwork, our
  expert consultants can provide a free initial
  estimate of its value. We provide appraisals
  online, at our offices, at your premises, or even
  via mail. We can reliably appraise Australian and
  international works of art, across all media.
  However, please note that Menzies is a secondary
  market for art, so we cannot value new work by
  artists currently working and/or exhibiting.

APPRAISAL AFTERNOONS

• Every Wednesday 2pm - 5pm, our art specialists
  conduct obligation-free appraisals in our
  Melbourne and Sydney offices.If Wednesday
  afternoon is not convenient, please call our
  office to make an individual appointment.
  Alternatively, you can either post a photo to us
  (or submit one online below) - with a description
  that clearly indicates the artworks dimensions,
  artist's signature, medium, physical condition
  and any other relevant information. Please send
  copies as photographs cannot be returned.

Visits are generally at no cost however a fee may
be charged based on the scope and diversity of
your collection. Any fees charged will be rebated
if your work of art is consigned for sale with
Menzies

VALUATIONS

• Menzies offers a prompt and wide range of
  specialist valuation services to private
  collectors, corporations, government
  organisations, executors and financial advisors.
  Valuations can be for insurance, market
  appraisal, probate, family division, the Cultural
  Gifts Program or leasing.
• All valuations are undertaken on a strictly
  confidential basis and include accurate
  descriptions and the option of accompanying
  digital photographic records.
• Quotations for valuation services are available
  on enquiry to our office. We charge a reduced fee
  for updating existing Menzies valuations so you
  can always keep your insurance valuations
  current. Fees for market appraisals will be
  rebated if you consign your property for sale
  with us.

INTERSTATE VISITS

• Prior to each auction our specialists visit
  Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane to provide
  free appraisals to clients. Times for these
  visits are advertised here on this website, and
  in the local press.
• Clients on our mailing list are notified in
  advance of visits by brochure and/or email as
  preferred. To make an appointment, please contact
  us on 02 8344 5404 (Sydney) or 03 9832 8700
  (Melbourne).
