EOG Science Grades 5 8
  • Operational assessments based on 2004 Standard
    Course of Study (SCS). Grade 5 measures the grade
    5 standards and grade 8 measures the grade 8
    standards.

    2008-09

  • Physics will be offered ONLY online, while

    for all other EOCs.

HSP-M-001HS Courses in Middle School
  • Science courses begin 2008-09 school year
  • Must achieve Level III or IV on EOC (if
    available)
  • Count towards graduation requirements, but not
    the HS GPA
  • Laboratory facilities must meet safety
    requirements and state and national guidelines
    for laboratory expendables and equipment to allow
    the same opportunities for laboratory work as the
    high school laboratory in the local education
    agency.

Elimination of Honors Physical Science
  • Honors Physical Science Phase-out
  • Honors Physical Science will be available for
    implementation from the 2005-2006 school year
    through the 2007-2008 school year Therefore, the
    Physical Science course will no longer be
    available as an Honors course after the 2007-2008
    school year.

    the goal of the Awards is to expand and exemplify
    the definition of excellent mathematics and
    science teaching.
