The Beginning

• Everyone meets 730am at the UCSA car park
  (downstairs from here)
• Check-in at the registration desk
• Put overnight gear in luggage compartment
• Bring day gear on the bus with you

BUSES LEAVE_at_ 8am!!

Leg One

• The buses will drop you off at the start of leg 1
• Maps will be issued
• Countdown see you a few hours!
• Buses take your overnight gear to the Hash House

Controls

• Centre of the circle on the map
• Decrypt the cryptic clue
• Search! For a couple of minutes
• Ice cream container,slightly hidden
• Record word

Hash House

• Sign-in at the registration desk
• Compulsory 30 minute down-time
• Have some food
• Copy down the next leg from the master maps (you
  will need a fine-tipped permanent marker pen)
• Sign-out before you leave

The Next Day

• The event finishes after 24 hours
• You will be penalised ONE POINT for every FIVE
  MINUTES you are late!
• After 30 minutes you will lose all points.
• Everyone helps clean up then were back on the
  buses.

What to bring Day Gear

• Showerproof windproof jacket
• Base layer
• Warm top
• Warm hat
• Headlamp or torch ( batteries!)
• Water (minimum 1.5 litres)
• Survival blanket
• Emergency whistle

• Lunch
• Gloves
• Sun hat
• Your costume!

What to bring Team Gear

• Small first aid kit
• Compass
• Sunscreen
• Pen for recording controls

What to bring Overnight

• A tramping pack or similar (so everything stays
  together)
• Sleeping bag and bedroll
• Tent
• A change of clothes
• Bowl, cup and cutlery
• Spare snack food for later
• Permanent marker for map drawing

Course Hazards

• Weather / exposure
• Cliffs
• Barbed wire and electric fences
• Stags (roaring!)
• Rabbit holes
• Hunters (start of duck season!)
• All roads are OPEN

Respect Landowners

• Leave gates as you found them
• Dont disturb stock
• No smoking (high fire danger!)
• No dogs
• Toilet training?!?!
• REPORT DAMAGE
