  • What is a dictionary?
  • A dictionary is a book that contains words and
    their meanings. The words appear in alphabetical
    order.
  • Why would I use a dictionary?
  • To look up the meaning of a new word, to find out
    how to say a word, or to check a words
    spelling.
  • When is a dictionary useful?
  • A dictionary is useful when reading and writing.
