Teen Crashes in Minnesota

• No state in the country has a higher percentage
  of teenagers behind the wheel in deadly crashes
  than Minnesota.
• Not only are traffic crashes the leading cause of
  death for teens, but the total traffic crash
  death exceeds that of the next four causes
  combined.

Legislation pending

• Minnesota is one of four states with neither a
  nighttime nor a passenger restriction.
• While we continue to try and pass legislation, we
  also realized that more needed to be done with or
  without legislative success.

• Monthly teen to teen and parent to parent public
  service announcements- script development and
  production
• Web site presence- www.myfoxtwincities.com
• Talent provided including news anchor and sports
  personalities
• DVD production for High School League use during
  preseason student/parent meetings

• Details continued
• A minimum of 130 messages per month on teen
  driving and traffic safety messages will air on
  Fox Television and MY 29 television during the
  highest rated programs for teen viewing including
  Simpson's, Family Guy, and Malcolm in the Middle.
   
• Fox Television will feature a series of stories
  and messages targeted to parents on how to
  communicate with their teens about driving and
  traffic safety that will air in Fox News
  products.

  law enforcement efforts when appropriate.
