Tikal Tikal is an ancient ruin, one of the
largest archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian
Mayan civilization. This site is located in the
Peten Basin along with north Guatemala in Tikal
National Park. It was declared as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 1979, Tikal was one of the most
powerful kingdoms of its time. It reached its
apogee around 200-900 CE and was an important
city politically, economically, and militarily.

Santa Catalina Arch Santa Catalina Arch is one
of the most unique landmarks located in Antigua
Guatemala, 5th Avenue North. This site was
constructed in the 17th century and connected the
Santa Catalina convent direct to a school. In the
1830s a clock was added to the site, the
Guatemala post office building is based upon and
arc and run by the Santos family today.

Natural Monument is located in Qeqchi Maya town
