Innovation The TNEX-2000 Digital Wireless Voice
Network combines the functions of wired headsets,
two-way radios, walkie talkies, pagers, cordless
phones, and cellular phones into one unique
communications package.

Accomplishments - Completed working prototype
to be used at Kennedy Space Center on time and
within budget. - Based on technologies
developed for the NASA project, Telenexus
established itself in wired/wireless telephony
and RFID system development. - Telenexus is an
important technology partner with Texas
Instruments TIRIS RFID Group and Sirit
Corporation. - Developed and manufactured
transceivers for toll collection systems, Mobil
Speedpass, and Tag-it low cost tags.
TNEX-2000
Commercialization - Telenexus has
established a sister company, Voice Logic, Inc. ,
to focus on the rapidly growing Small Office,
Home Office (SOHO) telephony market.
Telephone/Voice mail system under the Voice Logic
name. Trademarks include DVO, Amigo, Voice
Express, Clarity, and Encore. - A patent
application in telephony has been filed. - A
wireless PBX system with a joint venture partner
is under development. - Very active in the
RFID business sector. Provided all TIRIS toll
collection transceiver worldwide. Developed
transceivers for Mobil Speedpass and Tag-it.
Parking lot and Airport parking hands-free
collection system under development. -
Cumulative sales revenues to date is
approximately 6M. - Telenexus is
responsible for all the research and development
(RD) of Sirit Corporation. - A 2.4 GHz
wireless PBX system based on our own ASIC will be
a good commercial product beyond the NASA
system. - Strategic alliance firms include
Texas Instruments, Sirit, Solomon, Teleco, and
Eastcom. - Telenexus has 15 full time
employees.
Government/Science Applications - KSCs need
for this innovation was to enhance the KSC
Digital Operational Intercommunications System
(OIS-D) by providing it with a wireless headset
link. - The Telenexus system, developed under a
NASA SBIR contract with KSC, provided an
application of spread spectrum radio, digital
audio encoding, packet switching, local area
networking, and frequency/time domain
multiplexing techniques to form a network of
wireless personal acoustic headsets.
