Moving in the Prophetic
  • We operate in the Kingdom of God by Faith.
  • Rom 126 Having then gifts differing according to
the grace that is given to us, let us use them
if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our
    faith
  • Rom 1017 So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.
  • Heb 111 Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
  • 2 Cor 418 while we do not look at the things
which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen. For the things which are seen are
temporary, but the things which are not seen are
    eternal.

5
Moving in the Prophetic
  • Faith Robbers
  • Fear (False evidence appearing real)
  • Doubt/Unbelief
  • Poor Self-Image, unworthiness
  • Lack of knowledge or understanding
  • Faith Builders
  • Gen. 126,27 Made in His image/likeness
  • Col. 316 We have the mind of Christ
  • John 1412-14 Greater works
  • Acts 18
  • 1 Cor. 1431
  • Mark 1124
  • Romans 814,15,19

6
Moving in the Prophetic
  • 1 Cor 127 But the manifestation of the Spirit is
given to each one for the profit of all
  • Not earned Not on loan everyone manifests
    differently
  • You are only willing to do that which you believe
  • You only learn by doing (faith without works is
    dead)

7
Moving in the Prophetic
  • Practicing the Prophetic
  • Starts by believing that God will partner with
you that He does trust you and desires to use
    you.
  • By stirring up the gift of God within you
  • Through worship, praying in the Spirit, etc.
  • By cultivating a desire to love others as He
loves them (remember love never fails).
  • By stepping out by faith- overcoming fear,
intimidation, etc. (in other words, give the Holy
Spirit an opportunity to use your mind and voice
    to speak for Him.

8
Moving in the Prophetic
  • Practicing the Prophetic
  • Prophetically praying one for another.
  • Find a person to share with.
  • Begin by praying for that person, asking the Holy
Spirit to direct your prayer. Relax, were not
forcing the Holy Spirit to speak/reveal, only
yielding to Him so He can use us.
  • After one prays then the other person pray for
    you.
  • Dont use prayers/phrases like God says, Thus
    saith the Lord, etc.
  • Dont share corrective/directional prayers.
Remember the primary purpose of the prophetic is
    for edification, exhortation and comfort.

9
Learning to Discern Gods Voice
  • Discernment Comes as a process of growth.
  • A key to discerning the voice of God is to
continually exercise our spiritual ears to hear.
  • Spend time with the Father
  • Learn to turn on, tune in and control the volume.

10
GOD SPEAKS DIFFERENTLY TO EVERY PERSON
  • Isaiah 212-3 says,
  • A grievous vision is declared unto me..
Therefore are my loins filled with pain pangs
have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman
that travaileth I was bowed down at the hearing
of it I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
  •  3 primary methods
  • Through mental images or pictures.
  • Through physical sensations and heartfelt
    impressions.
  • Through hearing words, or words in thought form.

11
GOD SPEAKS DIFFERENTLY TO EVERY PERSON
  • In Acts 94, Paul heard a voice on the day of his
    conversion.
  • In Acts 10, both Cornelius and Peter received
instruction from the Lord through visions.
  • In Genesis 37, Joseph had a dream. In Genesis
203, Abimelech also had a dream.
  • In Luke 24, the two men on the road to Emmaus,
their heart burned with the Word.

12
LEARN TO DISCERN
  • Each has a primary waya similar fashion that we
hear the voice of the Lord.
  • The process is understood within the choices to
    activate, exercise and measure.
  • Like a Police Scanner, we dont all hear His
    voice on the same frequency.
  • Do not limit God. In time, God may use other
ways to speak to us. Be sensitive.

13
THREE PRIMARY WAYS GOD COMMUNICATES
  • MENTAL IMAGES Instantaneous mental picture that
can be described in much detail.
  • VISIONS When the Lord opens the natural eyes to
    see into the spiritual realm.
  • DREAMS
  • BY HEARING An audible voice, strong mental
thought, a slight impression, or a still small
    voice.

14
KEYS TO REMEMBER
  • Sounds like your own voice.
  • Learn to listen.
  • Remain teachable.
  • Do not go blank.
  • Look for the thought behind the thought.
  • Begin and let Him expand.

15
The Sources of Your Thoughts
  • Godly, Holy Spirit inspired
  • Line up with the Word of God.
  • Originate by the Holy Spirit dwelling within the
    believer.
  • Thoughts manifesting the fruit of the Spirit.
  • Natural Thoughts
  • Neither good nor bad.
  • Gives us the ability to live and function

16
The Sources of Your Thoughts
  • Soulish thoughts
  • Wants to direct/control when trying to receive
    from God.
  • Thoughts based on the five senses.
  • Demonic thoughts
  • Happen because of a reprobate mind.
  • Thoughts that activate the works of the flesh
    (Gal. 5).
  • Thoughts that originate/activate the lust of the
    flesh.

17
BY FEELING
  • IMPRESSIONS OR SENSING
  • The unspoken language of the Spirit.
  •  An emotion felt.
  •  A slight impression in their spirit.
  • A deep inward knowing.
  • A physical impression.
  • In Jesus ministry, feelings of compassion were
evident before He did many signs and wonders.
