Artifacts
  • A big thank you to all the companies that
    participated in the various artifact
demonstrations. This was done at some (not small)
    expense to them.

31
Artifacts
  • What is an artifact requirement to proceed to
    FCD
  • Demonstrations of artifacts have been conducted
for all the parts of 18000
  • However!!!

32
Artifacts
  • This requirement has been a problem. We have had
debates on what is an artifact, should it be with
    commercial equipment, are simulators acceptable,
what is the purpose? And other topics.
  • This needs to be discussed in WG4 for any future
    standards

each of the parts of 18000 series and explaining
    the functionality so achieved.
  • This paper has been sent for ballot as an NP/PDTR
    by BSI

34
New Work (2)
  • It was agreed in Cedar Rapids that a new SG3 work
item would be created to  evaluate all
propositions for an elementary tagging system,
and as indicated by the evaluation, create a NWI
to produce an elementary tagging standard
