Title: PURPOSE

1
PURPOSE
  • Review current USMC deployment status
  • Review USMC OPFOR DEPTEMPO

2
USMC JOINT EXERCISE PARTICIPATION - CY 04
  • Exercises with USMC participation 38
  • Exercises with decreased support 3
  • Exercises with no USMC support 7
  • Due to OIF/OEF requirements

3
MARFORPAC / MARCENT TRAINING VALUE
  • While the two joint exercises were cancelled in
CY 04, previous iterations of those exercises
were key to the operational and tactical
successes of the forces involved in OIF and OEF.
    Improvements in interoperability, smooth force
flows, and knowledge of the AOR can be traced
back to involvement in exercises such as Internal
Look, Natural Fire, Native Fury, and Bright
    Star.
