    lung damaging and contribute to an increased
    occurrence of asthmatic attacks.

    biodegradable, and reduce resource use.

Harvards Green Cleaning Program
  • For janitorial cleaning products Green Seal
    certified products       
  • Paper will no longer be used as a cleaning tool.
    Microfiber cloths and mops will replace other
    disposable cleaning tools.
  • Entrance matting systems will be reviewed.
  • All vacuums will meet or exceed ALA and CRI
  • The use of a disinfectant will be eliminated or
    minimized.
  • Automatic Aerosol Deodorizers are prohibited
  • When possible, do not seal or finish floors
  • Paper products should be selected based on
    recycled content, whitening process, packaging
    and dispensing options.
  • Plastic bags should be 100 regrind Low Density
    Polyethylene (LDPE) and have at least 60
    post-consumer recycled plastic.
