Academic jeopardy means.

• You are not in good standing with either the
  university or your college.
• Your grade point average (GPA) is below the
  requirement standard.
• You are in danger of being put on probation or
  suspended.

How do you avoid Academic Jeopardy?

• Good study habits
• Being familiar with the university resources
• Being aware of deadlines, due dates and
  university/college policy
• Realizing that college is not the same as high
  school

• To help you become aware of what it takes to be a
  successful college student and have fun at the
  same time!

Format

• 30 minutes for game
• A series of questions relating to a successful
  college career
• Work as a team use the provided resources to
  find answers
• Each team will have a designee
• First designee to raise their hand has 10 seconds
  to answer
• The team with the most points wins !!!

Question 1 What is a syllabus?

Answer The syllabus contains valuable
information about lecture topics, reading
assignments, exam dates, grading policies and
other crucial information.

Question 2 What should you do to get organized
to meet the demands of the semester? (Hint Time

Answer At the start of the semester, get an
overview of all exams, projects, work schedules,
social obligations and personal commitments.
Write them all on a large monthly calendar and
check it on a daily basis.

three hours of study for every credit you take.
For example, if you are enrolled for 12 credits,
you should spend 36 hours per week studying. This
