Eligibility Criteria

• Unilateral or bilateral untreated breast cancer
• Tumor ? 2 cm (palpation) or ? 1 cm (US)
• Given indication for chemotherapy, e.g.
• cT3 or cT4 (incl. inflammatory)
• cT1-3 and ER/PgR neg
• cT1-3 and ER/PgR pos and cN (for cT2) or pNSLN
  (for cT1)
• LVEF 55

Cardiac Events(with or without trastuzumab)
HER-2 negative / no trastuzumab HER-2 positive
/ with trastuzumab

• No LVEF decrease below 45
• No CHF grade 4

Conclusions

• Addition of trastuzumab to EC-Doc(X) is feasible
  without clinically relevant cardiotoxicity.
• pCR rate in patients with HER-2 positive tumors
  was significantly increased by the addition of
  trastuzumab.
• Follow up will analyse the correlation of this
  result to patient outcome.
