3Digital/Softcopy photogrammetry
- Softcopy photogrammetry is based on digital
(softcopy) raster image as distinct from
conventional photogrammetry, based on film
(hardcopy) images - Digital systems are considered third generation
photogrammetric instruments (workstation-Digital
image Analytical Plotter -DiAP), after analytical
(second generation) and analog (first generation)
stereo-plotters - Equipment used in digital photogrammetry include
Computer, Scanner, CCD cameras, LCD Eyewear
(stereo viewing) - Orthophoto and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) can
be generated from Softcopy photogrammetry
