PROTECTION WAS NOT NORMALLY USED OR PRACTICED IN
THEIR TYPE OF WORK, OR IT WAS NOT REQUIRED FOR
THE TYPE OF WORK PERFORMED AT THE TIME OF THE
ACCIDENT

AND PERSONNEL AT RISK - WHEN FEASIBLE WORKPLACES SHALL BE MODIFIED TO
REDUCE NOISE LEVEL TO ACCEPTABLE LEVELS - ENGINEERING, ADMINISTRATIVE, CONTROLS MEASURES
SHALL BE EMPLOYED WHERE POSSIBLE. PPE SHALL BE
USED AS A LAST RESORT. - PERIODIC HEARING TEST SHALL BE CONDUCTED TO
MONITOR THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM
27NOISE MEASUREMENTS
- IN ORDER TO EFFECTIVELY CONTROL NOISE, IT IS
NECESSARY THAT THE NOISE BE MEASURED AND
EVALUATED PROPERLY BY THE INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE DEPT
