Materials, colors and designs
TUDO BOM ? Its cotton! Jersey, rib or fleece,
TUDO BOM ?  is all about cotton ! In our
second collection, we offer three products in
certified organic cotton from Paraná in southern
Bresil. Beyond the social impact for the
seamstresses, we wanted to trace our way back up
the textile chain and have a positive ecological
impact as well. This cotton is made by
micro-producers (average 25 acres) from the São
Jorge do Patrocinio region, north-west of Paraná.
The price we paid was 20 above that of the local
market. The other products are made of
conventional cotton. Some contain 4 elasthan
which makes them more form-fitting. This
information is provided on the tags on the inside
of our clothes.
At left, organic cotton fiber on the right, a
manual organic fertilizer spreader. Aparecido,one
of Paranás organic cotton growers (bottom left).
Colors and more colors ! With this catalogue, we
aim to present a winter collection that preserves
our colorful identity. Red, aubergine, avocado
green, orange, and blue are among the colors you
will find in this collection. Also some black,
to bring out some of the bright colors like
yellow and orange, and cream for the organic
cotton.
Silk screening and embroidery The  TUDO BOM ?
silk screen lettering has been preserved, as well
as the   TUDO BOM ? aged look which appears in
large letters on the chest or as a signature, at
the bottom or on the sleeve. As a tribute to
curiosity, our trademark question in a childs
handwriting makes its debut on one of our
childrens items. Another products presents a
design from the FALA FAVELA project, a graphic
design initiative based on photos taken in the
favelas of Rio.

TUDO BOM ? ...Tranqüilo... You can recognize
our 100 organic cotton models by the beige
embroidery  Tranqüilo... .  At peace  because
its respectful of the environment...and because
its important to know how to take care of ones
self as well.  At peace  is one of the ways we
can answer Brazils question,  Hows it going?
( Tudo Bom ? Tranqüilo...) and that in a sense
expresses this whole philosophy.
Suggestions for care Wash at low temperature,
between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius (86 and 104
degrees Fahrenheit), by hand the first time, then
in the machine (colors and whites should be
washed separately). Please refrain from ironing
the silk screening.

Fair wage and social premium
The development premium, is one way to
participate in the success of the brand and it is
allotted every six months according to the most
urgent needs of the seamstresses. It currently
finances contributions to unemployment insurance
(20 of the salary) for the 8 seamstresses,
giving them access to payments in the event of
sickness, pregnancy, childrens illness or
work-related injuries. This also includes paying
to have them covered by the national pension
plan. A quality premium allows the seamstresses
to receive up a monthly raise of up to 5,
depending on the quality of the products made.
  • The fair wage, one of the founding concepts of
fair trade, is discussed taking into account
    four criteria
  • The time taken to fabricate each model, taking
into account the level of difficulty
  • The salary necessary for the seamstresses to
live decently, based on our analysis of their
    families budgets
  • Market prices for comparable goods
  • The final price for the consumer.
  • In all, the direct and indirect revenue of our
seamstresses has increased by 30 (outside of
inflation) since the beginning of the  TUDO BOM
    ?  project in January 2004.
