3Embedded Training Systems
-
- A training capability that is an integral part
of the computer system the training is targeted
for
4C4I Embedded Training
- An integral part of the C4I system design
- Database embedded clients
- Training Data interacts with C4I system
applications - Runs in an operational system.
- Keeps training data separate and distinct from
real-world data - Provide positive management for trainers of the
training event. - Supports Distributed scenario based training
- Operator Training
- Team Training
5C4I Embedded Training Concept
- Training data is substituted in place of
real-world C4I data during a lesson - C4I responds to the training data and the
trainees interactions in an identical fashion to
real world data - Training Data can be clearly revealed as
training, or routed to selected trainees.
Non-intrusive C4I embedded training must not
compromise normal operations.

7Embedded Training Modes
- Operator Level Training Mode
- Tactical use of the C4I system in a realistic
operational environment - Team Training Mode
- Scripted Scenarios visualized and accessed
through C4I system (COP) and applications. - Distributed to multiple workstations via
LAN(Combat Center Training) - Distributed to multiple workstations via
WAN(Fleet training/exercises)

9Fully Embedded Training Simulations
- Portability of the Embedded Training application
- enables easier use, and deployed unit use
- Integrated C4I Archiving, Analysis and Replay of
training events - for After Action Reporting (AAR) and training
metrics analysis - Interchangeability of simulations or models
- allows a tailored training environment
- Full configuration management of the training
system architecture within the C4I system. - Full control over who sees what, and where it
goes - Full access to all C4I functionality and data
within the C4I system architecture
10GCCS-M Embedded Team Training (CTTS)

The Embedded Simulation Client (e.g., CMT DB
Client) is a Plug-in tailored to the specific
application to provide parametric inputs, user
interface and runtime controls. The Scenario
Generator, COP Capture, Scenario Preview and VTM
are standard ESI components common to a wide
range of C4I planning, training analytical
applications. They could be broken out into
separate segments, if done as unique servers, or
client modules. COP Capture provides access to
real world information for situation assessment
and time projection analysis.

Purpose capture real world tracks and provide
them to an application for initialization time
projections.
- Select Tracks of Interest (Forces, Platforms,
Track Types, etc). - Select geographic location (lat/long and
circumference area). - Extract data from TMS.
- Set DTG.
- Provide to an Application as
- Simulated Tracks Objects (TMS-4 objects).
- Message Objects (OTH Gold, RPR, DIS).

21SUMMARY
- Embedded Team Training requires Simulations to
produce a realistic operational environment. - These Simulations can be internal (embedded) or
external (network integrated) - The CTTS Embedded Team Training Application can
- Host multiple simulations (modular) for varying
aspects of training - Do After Action/Post Exercise Debrief and
Analysis - Generate scenarios within C4I
- Access to/from C4I databases real-time
- Visualize Training from within the C4I COP
- Distribute Training Cop via normal C4I network
- Integrate with other sensor simulations and
training systems
