• Imagine that youre talking to a room of 25
  school architects who are working with passionate
  school leaders/board members, all trying to get
  their arms and minds around the idea of the
  school of the future.
• They dont yet know what they dont know, and
  they need a provocative kick in the pants to
  imagine beyond their own world experiences.
• Theyve asked you for your ideas. A way to
  future-think.

• UKM festival gives the public and the

• A stage to perform (dance, theatre, poetry,
  circus, STAGEART)
• A gallery what ever you would like to show
  (photo, painting, design, fashion, ART)
• A meeting place for people you like, or didnt
  know you liked!

• One of the best ways for us to know
• what young people like, what kind of things
• we could support during the year.
• A way to predict the future!
• A local and national arena to search for
  knowledge
• about young culture, new trends and attitudes.

people to be apart of the society, UKM could be
one method

• Reach young unorganized people
• Educate adults working with young people
• Create an active member system where young people
  are able to be actively involved in the
  arrangements.

Create heroes!

• Creating a 2020 Vision for School Design
• The kindergartners that start in the fall of
  2007 will graduate in the spring of 2020. As
  architects of schools or youth centers, you need
  to have a 2020 Vision. Your clients and
