Imatinib is the brand name for the drug called
Gleevec. It is used to treat some types of
cancers (myeloid leukaemia, gastrointestinal
stromal tumours, and others). Imatinib is a pill
taken by mouth.

Imatinib tablets 100 mg are used to treat
certain types of leukemia (a type of cancer that
begins in the white blood cells) as well as
other cancers and disorders of the blood cells.
Imatikast 100 is also used to treat certain
types of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST)
which is a type of tumor that grows in the walls
of the digestive passages and can get spread to
other parts of the body.
