    increased the current network of 1.600 km of
    itineraries for bicycles, new and safe parking
    facilities for bicycles near the public
    transportation stops. They aim to make this mode
    of transport more fashionable.
  • The existence in Frankfurt of a very flexible
    system of bicycle renting (call a bike), may also
    help to increase the use of bicycle specially for
    the 300.000 people who travel every day to work
    to Frankfurt from neighbouring municipalities.
  • Frankfurt has a Mobil centre where they inform to
    more than 300.000 daily users about different
    means of transport that have in order to travel
    from one point of the city to another (bus,
    tramway, car sharing, velotaxi or bicycle). They
    also allow the user to buy public transport
    tickets, distribute tourist information, and in a
    near future, they will also sell tickets of
    different social events (cinema, theatre,
    concerts) in combination with the public
    transportation ticket to get to the place of the
    event.
