CREST Action Plan

• Plan to map using GPS and GIS all existing trails
  in Cumberland and North Yarmouth
  
• Develop a CREST Web site
• Present to town and school leaders to raise
  awareness.

CREST Purpose

• To develop a web based resource for Cumberland
  and North Yarmouth to includes digital maps of
  trails, landmarks,and oral histories.

Where are we?

• CREST group meets after school as a full group,
  but struggles to find a consistent day and time.
  
• High School group meets on Day 4 during lunch.

Web Development

• CREST Website developed by Will.
• www.willswebsite.org
• Website to include maps and oral histories.
• Hope from the Island Institute presents web
  development information to Mr. Haschs
  Service-learning Class.

Ethnography

• Video Production class creates oral histories
  using iMovie.
  
• Difficulty with PC/Mac compatibility and
  software.
  
• Oral Histories will be linked to maps.

GIS

• Technology troubles with laptop - back to Toshiba
  twice.
  
• No Arcview
• GPS mapping will happen in the spring
• Opportunity to work with CIS students
