Sustainable Site Credits

• SSCredit7.1 Heat Island Reduction Non-roof
• Your vendor should provide you with a maintenance
  program that will ensure all SRI surfaces are
  cleaned at least every two years to maintain good
  reflectance.
• Tremco top coat products can be used which meet
  Energy Star requirements as highly reflective,
  low emission coatings. This means they absorb a
  minimal amount of light energy as heat and aid in
  obtaining LEED credits which address the heat
  island effect of non-roof areas. These products
  also contain low VOC or volatile organic content.

• Your vendor can assist with energy efficiency
  performance by properly sealing the building to
  provide measurable energy savings.

• After commissioning is done, if identified, your
  vendor can help you with the low-cost
  improvements that will optimize energy
  performance.

Indoor Environmental Credits

• EQ Credits 2.4 and 2.5 Occupant Comfort
  Daylight and Views
• Although your vendor does not directly impact the
  percentages required for occupied spaces, they
  can keep your windows clean so that you can
  achieve the 2 daylight factor required for your
  daylight and views credit.

Green Window Cleaning

• A regular window cleaning should consists of a
  dilution of Joy Soap and water.
• Joy Soap contains both anionic and nonionic
  surfactants (each of which are biodegradable) and
  no phosphate.
• This is a low-impact cleaning product (to prevent
  groundwater pollution and vegetation damage). As
  a soap detergent it is a fresh cleaning agent
  that easily removes dirt and other light residue
  from the glass surfaces.
