Challenges
  • We are the lowest funded medical-doctoral library
    in Canada. (3.91 of the university budget, down
    from 6.3)
  • We have the fewest total FTE in North America
  • We have the fewest professional librarians in
    North America
  • We rank 110 out of 113 in North America. Will
    probably drop to 113 this year or next.

  • We have the 2nd highest foot traffic in all of
    Ontario (14,000 a day in Mills)
  • We have the 2nd highest e-resource use in all of
    Ontario.
  • Circulation of print appears to be increasing
  • Enrollment
  • McMaster is 1 in research intensity
