4Idiom
- An idiom is an expression, that is a term or
phrase whose meaning cannot be deduced from the
literal definitions and the arrangement of its
parts, but refers instead to a figurative meaning
that is known only through common use.
5Birds of a feather flock together.
This idiom refers to people with similar
characteristics and interests spending time
together. Example Those trouble-makers who
hang out together and steal are all the same!
6Poetry
- Poetry (from the Greek "p???s??", poiesis, a
"making" or "creating") is a form of art in which
language is used for its aesthetic and evocative
qualities in addition to, or in lieu of, its
ostensible meaning.
7Personification
- A personification is a figure of speech that
gives an inanimate object or abstract idea human
traits and qualities, such as emotions, desires,
sensations, physical gestures and speech.

- Prose is writing distinguished from poetry by its
greater variety of rhythm and its closer
resemblance to everyday speech. - Prose writing is usually adopted for the
description of facts or the discussion of
whatever one's thoughts are, incorporated in free
flowing speech.

- In literature, a theme is a broad idea in a
story, or a message or lesson conveyed by a work.
This message is usually about life, society or
human nature. Themes are the fundamental and
often explore universal ideas in a literary work.
Themes are usually implied rather than explicitly
stated. -
