NO-NOS
  • Poor grades (Ds and Fs) - excuses are easygood
    grades are hard
  • Job - If you must work, try to keep it under 12
hrs/wk. Getting into Professional School is a
    FULL TIME job
  • Doing this for anyone/anything but your own
    personal/inner desire.
  • Doing it for money / prestige (i.e. believing
    what you watch on TV)

13
Other things to consider
  • The median age for admissions to allopathic
schools is over 24. If at first you dont
    succeed
  • Think about what else you could do with your
    life.
  • Medicine is an ever-changing field. The kinds
doctors you might get to be will be vastly
    different what we have now.
