Some Stats
  • We have approx 14,000 ejournals, growing daily
  • Estimate that 12,000 of them are available in LFP
    knowledge base
  • Activated 8,000 targets (about 60 of the total
    collection)
  • Ebsco is not activated (have approx 3,500) then
our coverage will be 95 of possible targets and

Other Issues _ Serials Management
  • We chose to think very carefully about how we
preserved one source of accurate data about
    electronic serials.
  • Overview of how it is implemented here
  • No serials management in Voyager
  • Linking the Site ID from Voyager to Linkfinder
    YES Please

14
System Administration Client
  • Navigation no need to say more.
  • Reports Activated sites and targets, matching
    between Voyager/LFP,
  • Activating targets by hand!
  • Batch activation the way to go
  • Will be using Ebsco as my trial

15
Where to? Issues
  • Changing the knowledge base and not keeping track
of it, (i.e. Wiley) the site id and when the
knowledge base gets updated new fixes are
    implemented
  • Knowledge base updates only happening in new
releases, keeping up to date with new titles
  • Australian and New Zealand journals
  • Open URL Voyager link to TOC
