• Developed by SIFAR and FAO with support from
  donor organizations.
• One of a family of CDS systems. Others include
  UN Atlas of the Oceans, WCA Infonet, BioSecurity
  Portal, Phytosanitary (PHHC) Portal, FAO Home
  Page, FreshwaterLife, Rural Finance.
• Consortium of CDS Groups jointly contribute to
  the ongoing development and maintenance of the
  CDS system.

• The FAO Fishery Industry Division is Partner No.
  2 in the EU Fish-Tech-DB Project. The stated
  objective of the Fishery Industry Divisions
  involvement in this Project is To successfully
  introduce the Knowledge Base into the oneFish
  information system. To provide an excellent
  service to all researchers and industrialists
  involved in fish utilisation and processing
  technologies. The Fishery Industry Divisions
  specific agreed commitment to the project is
  three man months in respect of Work Packages WP2,
  WP3 and WP5, and they are also listed in the
  project documentation as an involved Participant
  in WP4, WP6 and WP7.
