EXPECTATIONS FOR DRESS

  • STUDENTS ARE TO AVOID EXTREMES AND TO DRESS
    APPROPRIATELY FOR THE OCCASION.
  • Students should feel a responsibility to present
    an appearance that will reflect favorably upon
    themselves, their home and their school.
  • Principal discretion will apply with any
    questionable dress

The following will serve as a dress code for
students
  • Shorts, skirts or dresses must measure at least
    fingertip length, with normal stance of arms at
    side.
  • All tops must meet waistline no midriff showing
  • Acceptable footwear required
  • Visible body piercing (other than ears) that
    might cause a health and/or safety hazard of any
    type or cause a disruption of the educational
    process is prohibited

The following types of clothing are not
acceptable
  • Spandex garments (shirts, shorts including biker
    shorts)
  • Clothing with rips or holes that reveal
    undergarments or skin
  • Tank tops or muscle shirts
  • See through or mesh apparel
  • Hats, caps or sunglasses are not to be worn
    inside the school building
  • Apparel with obscenities or advertisements for
    tobacco, liquor or other controlled substances
    are not permitted
  • Apparel or accessories which in any way can be
    used as or construed to be a weapon such as, but
    not limited to chains, straps
  • Spaghetti straps tops, or clothing that reveals
    underclothing
  • Clothing worn inside out

  • Students who violate these rules will be
  • required to change their attire. Any class
  • time lost will be considered unexcused.
  • All dress code items are under the discretion
  • of the school administration.

General Information
  • Absences/Tardies
  • Six unexcused absences or tardies count as
    truancy
  • Students are counted absent at 807. If you are
    in the building and arrive late to first period
    you are counted absent. The teacher will contact
    the attendance clerk and you will be given a
    unexcused tardy.
  • Students must present a doctors excuse and/or
    parent note to the attendance clerk upon arrival
    to school. If sent home by the school nurse, it
    automatically counts as excused doctors
    statement.
  • Students have three days to bring in excuse.

Leaving School
  • Students are responsible for remaining on campus
  • once they arrive at school each day unless
  • properly dismissed by the principals office.
  • Students are responsible to be in their assigned
  • classroom or workplace at all times. This
    includes
  • any student arriving at school by bus, any other
  • vehicle or by foot. Anytime a student is not in
    their
  • assigned place, he/she is responsible for
    securing a pass
  • from the teacher/ supervisor before leaving the
    room.

Visitors
  • Students are not allowed to bring visitors to
    school. Under special circumstances the
    principal may grant permission for a visitor.
  • Parents are always welcome, but they are
    encouraged to make an appointment to see a
    teacher, the principal, or visit their childrens
    classes.
  • All visitors must sign in and out at the
    reception desk and wear a visitor tag during
    their stay at school.

Telephones
  • Pupils will not be called from class to the
    telephone unless the principal approves such a
    call. The message will be given to students at
    the end of a class period.
  • Students are discouraged from making telephone
    calls. The phones in the school office or at Mrs.
    Cooks desk may be used for emergencies only.
  • Telephones in classrooms are for the teacher only.
