1Session 4- Effective use of Podcasts and iTunes
2Podcasting
What is a podcast? - effectively an audio file
which is then put onto the Internet
3Podcasting
How have I used them? - Grammar series - pupil
recordings - pupil grammar explanations
4Podcasting
Grammar series created to help reinforce grammar
learning OUTSIDE of the classroom - responding
to a request by a pupil - FANTASTIC for audio
learners
5(No Transcript)
6Podcasting
Pupil grammar explanations - benefit of
explaining to others - need for script - peer
assessment on podcasts - minimal teacher input,
maximum output - pupils then have an immediate
revision tool

onto iTunes (EdgehillCast) - great revision
tool - pupils listen to their recordings
repeatedly whilst editing - all year 10
recordings now going onto i-tunes, allowing them
to download their work and peers work -
providing opportunity to expland learning beyond
classroom walls
