  • AB average in EPD technical communication courses
  • Complete program within five years
  • Students cannot count courses completed on a
    pass/fail basis toward the Certificate.
  • Meet regularly with their certificate advisor
  • Compile a portfolio of their work when they
    graduate

What you need to be admitted to the TCC program

To be admitted to the TCC program
  • Complete Part A General Communication course
  • or equivalent to EPD 155 Basic Communication (2
    cr)
  • get at least a B
  • Four courses (12 cr) in science / engineering
  • at least one 200- intermediate-level course
  • Three courses (9-cr) in humanities, social
    sciences, and/or foreign language
  • GPA of at least 2.5

  • Give special attention to the Objective
    Statement, which tells why you want a Certificate
    in Technical Communication.

4. Your application will be reviewed
  • TCC Admissions Committee reviews applications
    several times each semester
  • You will receive a letter informing you of the
    committees decision and giving further
    instructions.

5. If admitted to the program, you will be
assigned an advisor
  • Set up an appointment with your advisor to
    discuss plans for completing the program

  • To discuss eligibility, transfer of courses, or
    general curriculum planning for the Certificate,
