• CALL - The one call center serving the area in
  which you plan to excavate.
• BEFORE - Two business days before you dig.
• YOU - Homeowners, contractors, or anyone digging
  for any reason.
• DIG - Using shovels, post hole diggers, fence
  post drivers, or heavy equipment.

Never Dig in Unmarked Ground

• You might contact underground utilities
• Electric
• Natural gas
• Water
• Wastewater service
• Telephone lines
• Cable television lines

One Call Does It All

• Activates all member utility operators in the
  area
• Tell them where you intend to did
• They will respond within 48 hours
• They will mark their utilities
• The service is free

Call and the Utility Map will be Drawn for You

• It will be drawn on the ground (in color or with
  flags or stakes)
• This will be done within 48 hours of calling
• Sunshine State One Call of Florida, Inc. was
  organized solely to protect you and utilities

When Planning to Dig

• Call at least 2 full business days before the
  digging date, but not more than 5 business days
  ahead of time

• Protect the marks
• If marks are destroyed or lost, request a new
  utility location
• Always use caution when digging within 24 inches
  of either side of a utility
