PACK
  • Period 5 PACK- students grouped according to
    student needs
  • Based on last years scores
  • Flexible grouping- students will move as needed
  • Students will get challenging work,
    reinforcement, or help as needed
  • 2 days of math and 2 of lang. arts

Algebra
  • We will complete the whole math book to cover all
    California standards.
  • This gives all students the opportunity to start
    high school with geometry or give them a strong
    background in algebra for next year.
  • All teachers will be following the same schedule
    for lessons.
  • Every test will be given twice.
  • Students will be tested in May by high school for
    geometry.

Criteria for Credit
  • Show all work!
  • Use a pencil.
  • All odd numbered problems must be corrected in
    pen to receive credit for the homework.
  • Use graph paper, if needed.
  • Work should be kept in order in a spiral
    notebook.
  • All assigned problems must be completed.

Homework
  • Everyday, including Friday
  • Should be written in PACK Planner
  • Homework is posted on line
  • Work is due when students walk in at 800 and is
    late if turned in during math class.

Thursday Folder
  • Folder contains all graded work.
  • Informs parents of behavior for the week.
  • Missing work cannot be made up, except for
    absences.
  • Please return folder on Monday with parent
    signature.
  • Failure to return the signed folder will result
    in detention.

Absences
  • Absent students get the number of days of the
    absence to turn in work for full credit.
  • See me to make up tests, because absences are
    recorded as zeroes.
  • Absent students must read the lesson, take notes
    in the spiral notebook, and work the examples
    before asking for help.

Grades How I Keep You Informed
  • Grades will be posted online on
  • the etiwanda website
  • https//espri-web.etiwanda.k12.ca.us/
  • Students are required to monitor their online
    grades every week and get a parent signature.
    (Due on Monday.)
  • All corrected work is sent home every Thursday.
  • Progress reports are mailed from the office every
    6 weeks.

Books
  • Books are a students responsibility
  • Science and math books stay at home.
  • Teachers and the school are not responsible for
    books left in the classroom.
  • Bring all science and math workbooks to school
    everyday.
  • All math work and science notes must be kept in
    spiral notebooks.

Reminders
  • Gum and i-pods are not allowed at school.
  • Violations will result in detention and then
    referrals.
  • Cell phones must not be visible and can only be
    used outside of the black gates.
  • Plagiarism/ cheating (either receiving or sharing
    work) will result in a grade of zero and an N
    or U in citizenship.
  • Please follow the dress code that is explained in
    the student planner.

Transportation
  • No busses
  • All cars turn right from the parking lot.
  • Find a safe spot to drop off and pick up your
    child.
