• The Domestic Violence Act was implemented on 15
  December 1999
• (the campaign date aimed for was 1 November
  1999)
• While this was not the date specified in the
  objectives, it is clear from the findings that
  implementation of the Act in 1999 was an
  achievement that can largely be attributed to the
  advocacy initiative, and the multi-media
  component of the Soul City 4 intervention.
