Remove and Install". 1. Move the ejector to the
eject position.

Indicate the outside diameter of yoke of the
transfer gear. This reading must not exceed 5 mm
(0.2 inch) total indicator reading. 16. Use two
people in order to position tube assembly (8).
The weight of tube assembly (8) is approximately
24 kg (52 lb). Install bolts (7). Tighten bolts
(7) to a torque of 435 20 Nm (321 15 lb ft).

Disassemble SMCS - 1167-015 Disassembly
Procedure Start By A. Remove the flywheel
scavenge pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly,
"Scavenge Pump and Mounting (Flywheel) -
Remove". NOTICE Care must be taken to ensure
that fluids are contained during performance of
inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and
repair of the product. Be prepared to collect
the fluid with suitable containers before
opening any compartment or disassembling any
component containing fluids. Refer to Special
Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer
Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies
suitable to collect and contain fluids on
Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids
according to local regulations and mandates.
