Introduction

• Being an artist is a lot of business but its
  also a lot of fun. To be an artist you dont have
  to go to an art school, but to be successful, you
  should have at least a little bit of training.
  Heres a little bit of information about being an
  artist.

Occupation Disruption

• To be an artist, you have to know how to use all
  types of materials such as paints, oils,
  charcoal, ect.. All artists have different places
  they like to work. Some in offices, others in
  studios. But where ever you choose to work, it
  must have lots of lighting. Working long and
  extra hours is part of this job. Whether its
  working on selling a piece, or finishing up a
  painting, it always has to be turned in on time.

Education and Schooling

• If you want to be a successful artist, you should
  have a little bit of training. If you want to be
  an art teacher, you have to have a teachers
  certificate and bachelors degree. Most
  Universities and colleges offer a bachelors or
  masters degree for those who want to be an
  artist.

Working Conditions

• Most artists work by themselves but if you have a
  partner in the business, then you would work more
  at a studio instead of home.

• After high school, you dont have to go to a
  college for more training. But if you want to be
  successful in the business, then college or an
  university would be good training.

• Competition is very important. From getting a

  its all very important.
