MAINTENANCE SAFETY Instructions are necessary
before operating or servicing machine. Read and
understand the Operation Maintenance Manual,
Operator's Handbook and signs (decals) on
machine. Follow warnings and instructions in the
manuals when making repairs, adjustments or
servicing. Check for correct function after
adjustments, repairs or service. Untrained
operators and failure to follow instructions can

Never service attachments / implements
without instructions. See Operation Maintenance
Manual and Attachment / Implement Service Manual.
Cleaning and maintenance are required
daily. Never service or adjust attachment /
implement with the engine running unless
instructed to do so in manual. Always lower the
attachment / implement to the ground before
lubricating or servicing. Avoid contact with
leaking hydraulic fluid or diesel fuel under
pressure. It can penetrate skin or eyes. Stop,
cool and clean engine of flammable materials
before checking fluids. Keep body, loose objects
and clothing away from moving parts, electrical
contacts, hot pans and exhaust. Safety glasses
are needed for eye protection from electrical
arcs, battery acid, compressed springs,
fluids under pressure and flying debris or when
tools are used. Use eye protection approved for
type of welding.

DELIVERY REPORT
Attachment Serial Number Always use the serial
number of the tiltrotator when

requesting service information or when ordering
parts. Early or later models (identification
made by serial number) may use different parts,
or it may be necessary to use a different
procedure in doing a specific service
operation. Figure 1
The delivery report must be filled out by the
dealer and signed by the owner or operator when
the Bobcat tiltrotator is delivered. An
explanation of the form must be given to the
owner. Make sure it is filled out completely

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the tiltrotator is not working correctly,
check the hydraulic system of the machine
thoroughly before making any repairs on the
tiltrotator. Tiltrotator problems can be affected
by a hydraulic system that is not operating to
specifications or such problems as a plugged fuel
filter or hydraulic filter in the machine. (See
the machine Service Manual for the correct
trouble shooting procedures).

TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CORRECTION
None of the functions work Check the supply current to the control unit and the fuse.
None of the functions work Check that the pressure and return line to the tiltrotator are correctly connected.
None of the functions work Check that all cable assemblies are correctly connected.
One function does not work Check the cable assembly and connections to the joystick of the function that does not work.
Rotates in wrong direction Change places between the cables of connectors C610 and C611 on the control unit.
Hydraulic fluid is leaking Tighten or replace loose or damaged fittings and hoses as necessary.
Tilts in wrong direction Change places between the cables of connectors C620 and C621 on the control unit.
The implement lock does not work Check that all cable assemblies are correctly connected.
The implement lock does not work Check that the pressure and return line to the tiltrotator correspond to the chosen oil direction.

1) for wear or damage. Inspect the pivot pins

Inspect the quick hitch connection for wear or
damage. Inspect the quick hitch lock pins (Item
1), implement hitch (Item 2) Figure 10-20-4 (on
the attachment) and all hardware for wear or
damage.
Inspect the tiltrotator hydraulic cylinder (Item
1) and hoses (Item 2) Figure 10-20-2 daily for
wear or damage.
Inspect the Deluxe Attachment Harness and hoses
on the excavator.
Repair or replace damaged parts.
Repair or replace all damaged or missing
parts. Check for leaks.

LUBRICATION

Lubrication Locations Always use a good quality
lithium base multipurpose grease when lubricating
the attachment. Apply lubricant until extra
grease shows. Grease the tiltrotator every eight
hours of operation. Park the excavator on a flat
and level surface. Figure 10-30-1
