- Registered under the Societies Registration Act
XXI of 1860 on 3rd September, 2001 (No. S 40224) - Founded by Three Engineers and a Sociologist, has
now grown to a 15 member workforce of dedicated
and skilled field staff. - Driven by the ambition to reach technology to
all, bridge the digital divide and achieve
participative development. - Spearheading forward through its three
wings Prakrit Our initiative for an
eco-friendly future Sakshar Education for
all Tarang Information Technology for
development - In its three years of operation, V V F
has harvested 100000 sq m of catchment area for
rainwater converted 50 tons of waste to 10000 kg
of compost made 263 people computer literate,
75 employed.

sustenance through Self-Income Generation

individuals and organisations developing,

and assist them to harness the benefits of
Science and Technology to use them to improve
their quality of life and in doing so maintaining
a commitment to excellent services, innovation,
transparency and integrity.

Education for All Setup in April 2002

- Long-Term Goals
- Establish a norm for schools for preparatory/
bridge courses for dropouts, children from slum
pockets, migrant families etc - Skill Training and Functional Literacy for
adolescent children from the given section - Adult Literacy for men and women from the given
section - Education on issues of Self Advocacy, Social
Security, Personal Savings - Health education and primary health care for slum
inmates - Self-help groups for trained adolescents, adults.

- Activities
- Non-Formal Education for children in the age
groups 4- 8 years and 8 - 13 years focus on
integrating these children in to formal schools - Remedial classes for mainstreamed students
- Child Care Centre caters to young ones in the
group 1 - 4 years, while their elder siblings
attend school provides them with early
intervention basic concepts for formal
education later - Mid-Day Meals are provided free of cost
well-balanced diet of 250-300 calories, Average
weight gain of 1-1.5 kg achieved per pupil. - Vocational Training of adolescent boys girls
from slums - cutting and tailoring, beautician,
candle making, screen printing and typing.

- Methodology At each Learning Center
- 30 pupil are adopted for mainstreaming every year
- Approx. 30 pupil are admitted to Early
Intervention Group each yr - siblings of these pupil are attended to in Crèche
- 50 pupil are given remedial classes
- 25-30 girls enrolled in Cutting tailoring
Beautician classes - 15-20 boys are trained in candle making, screen
printing
- Milestones crossed
- 90 children mainstreamed, performing well in
school - 0 drop-out after V V F intervention at Basti
- School attendance of slum children gone up to 60
from 33 - 5 boys earned Rs 25000 from candle making last
year

month per trainee in Computer Literacy courses.

products. Some of the venues where we have
exhibited are ST Microelectronics, Noida Hotel
Hyatt Regency, New Delhi Australian High
Commission and others
