Acronyms, numbers and run-ons!
The SNAFU shall have a minimum of one million
32-bit words of global data retention memory with
a retention capability of one hour via battery
backup. The data retention memory shall have the
capability to store the PDP software the
translated TMP software LTI data and either 16
grams, 16 ALIs, and 16 BVF of 1.4 million words
of IEER data, 4 grams, 4 ALIs, 4 BVF and 2 DICASS
where each gram requires 38,400 32-bit words (25
minutes of 5 second 37.5 of 10 second, 1 bit
grams for 16 bands and 256 bins per band), each
ALI requires 2048 32-bit words (16 bit ALI data
for 16 bands and 256 bins per band), each BVF
requires 1024 32-bit words (8 bit bearing data
for 165 bands, at 256 bits per band) and each
DISCASS requires 8241 32-bit words worst case
range/Doppler, 180 bearing cells x 2-bit
applitude x 300 range cells for range/bearing and
7-bit applitude x 300 range cells for A-scan. The
memory shall be able to tolerate a power
transient of one second duration without the loss
of data.
