Welcome Captains!
  • 2006 3rd Block Playoff Meeting
  • Thursday, February 16, 700PM

Roster Changes/Additions
  • Rosters are set at the conclusion of this
    meeting.
  • Check your roster at the front to make sure
    everyone you want on the team is there. After
    tonight. NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE!

Playoff Eligibility
  • Players may not be on more than one Mens team,
    includes Fraternity, one Womens team, includes
    Sorority, or one Co-Rec team.
  • Players may play on one Co-Rec and one Womens or
    Mens
  • A cumulative 3.0 sportspersonship rating must be
    obtained during the regular season for a team to
    be eligible for the playoffs.
  • Questions about individual teams can be addressed
    after the meeting.

Sportspersonship
  • Captains are responsible for their teams!
  • If your team wins the game in order to move on
    you must obtain a 3.0 sportspersonship rating or
    higher
  • Ejections will be dealt with on a case by case
    basis, any player who is ejected will be
    ineligible for the next playoff game.

Playoff Format
  • Games are same as the regular season with ties
    resulting in overtime procedures
  • Playoffs are single elimination, i.e. lose and go
    home, winners live to play another day
  • Leagues will play on different nights than
    regular season, so check your schedule!
  • If you cannot make a game b/c of conflicts you
    must go through the normal request to cancel/opt
    not to play procedures

  • Technical Fouls/Bench Technical
  • Foul Shots
  • 1st Half Clock
  • Timeouts
  • Over the back

Overtime Procedures
  • If score is tied at the end of regulation
  • 3 Minute Overtime Period
  • Start each overtime with jump ball
  • 1st two minutes running clock
  • Last minute stop clock
  • 1 timeout per team per period
  • Team Fouls and Personal Fouls carry over
  • If score remains tied additional 1 minute
    periods, stop clock on all whistles
