    a suitable lifting device to torque converter
    cover (13).
  • Invert the torque converter. The weight of the
    torque converter is approximately 340 kg (750
    lb).
  • Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (C).

    lifting device to torque converter (13).
  • Remove bolts (14) and torque converter cover
    (13). The weight of the torque converter cover
    is approximately 125 kg (275 lb).

    rotating housing (28). The weight of stator
    carrier (26) is approximately 61 kg (135 lb).

  • Use Tooling (F) to separate stator carrier (26)
    from stator (36).

  • Install Tooling (F) onto carrier (26). Remove
    bearing (29) from carrier (26). Remove retaining
    ring (35) after bearing (29) has been removed.

    to rotating housing (28).
  3. Install rotating housing (28) onto turbine (41).
    The weight of the rotating housing is

  • Install torque converter cover (13) and bolts
    (14). The weight of the torque converter cover
    is approximately 125 kg (275 lb).

  • Invert the torque converter. The weight of the

  • Install speed sensor (12) and nut (11) onto
    bearing retainer (8). Do not tighten nut (11) now.

  • Loosen speed sensor (12) by half a turn.
  • Tighten nut (11) to a torque of 25 5 Nm (18
    4 lb ft).
