joining the Chapter had been fulfilled. - Education networking were the most frequently
mentioned reasons for joining. - WCISA programs and services

- introduced regional meetings focusing on the
practical application of tree care to target the
landscape industry - developed a master calendar with the non profits
to avoid conflicts with our respective
educational meetings - listed dates for Certified Tree Worker and
Certified Arborist testing, and EHAP prep courses
on the Regional Meetings calendar - e-mailed chapter members information regarding
the recent conferences and will continue to do so
for other educational meetings and industry
events - surveyed the membership regarding topics for
future regional conferences. - reviewed the effectiveness of the Certified Tree
Worker test

- Develop an RFP for a Certified Arborist Test Prep
Class - The RFP went out on 12-12-08 to all interested
parties (11 respondents). - We held a Pre-Bid conference call on 1-20-09
where we went through the RFP, section by
section, to be sure everything is clearly
understood. Then we addressed questions as they
came up. The questions and answers were recorded
and sent out to the respondents. - On 1-23-09 a final set of documents was sent out
to all respondents. - The Proposals were received by 500 p.m. on
February 28, 2009. - The committee reviewed the RFP's and will be
making the recommendation to the Board at the
June 1, 2009 meeting. - The WCISA will now have a Certified Arborist
Training Program, with a comprehensive
curriculum, to assist in preparing our members to
take the International Society of Arboriculture
Certified Arborist Exam.
