Responsibilities of Order Support Team (OST)

• Placement and management of firm orders, both
  traditionally and electronically, in any format.
• Placement of daily Rush and weekly Rush Lite
  orders.
• Knowledge of all three modules in Voyager.
• Excellent client service with selectors and
  patrons.
• Establishment of good working relationships with
  vendors, both domestic and foreign.

• Firm orders (monographs and serials)
• Paper orders mailed to vendor
• Traditional electronic ordering online
• EOD/EDI ordering with certain vendors
  (Harrassowitz, Blackwells, Touzot)
• Rush orders

OST Staff

• 7 C T staff, 1 M P
• 1 E-Level Work leader with responsibility for the
  daily workflow of the team, training of new
  staff, and complex ordering and problem
  resolution.
• 2 D-Level 1 for Electronic Resources management
  and 1 for Gifts and Exchanges.
• 4 C-Level C Ts with responsibility for
  placement of firm orders traditionally and
  electronically for approximately 35 selectors,
  communication with both domestic and foreign
  vendors, rush and rush lite orders, claims, and
  problem resolution.

• 1 manager with responsibility for management and
  supervision of team, complex problem resolution,
  and coordination with Collection Development,
  Cataloging, Access Services, and domestic and
  foreign vendors.
